🔒 Roles and Permissions

As a scope administrator, you can assign different roles to individuals within the organization, granting them varying sets of permissions. Scope-level roles and permissions govern the management of components, the review process, and other collaboration workflows.

Organization and Scope Roles and Permissions

Roles and permissions are divided between the organization level and the Scope level. Permission settings depend on where a user needs to perform actions. This document focuses on roles and permissions at the scope level.

Roles within a scope

Here are the roles available within a Bit Cloud scope:

Administrator

Administrators have complete ownership of the scope, with root-level access to all features and content.

Viewer

This is the default role assigned to all users. Viewers can see and use components. By default, all organization members have this role.

Developer

Developers can contribute content to the scope and review incoming change requests.

Reviewers

Reviewers can review and approve changes and new components. This role is useful for enabling designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to participate in the collaboration and review process.
